Communication is one skill everyone needs, and mastering the art of communication can get you many things. Using just 3 steps, you can achieve anything you want. These 3 steps have the power to transform your life.
For your conversation to be effective and relevant, you want your audience to feel relaxed, and more open to your question, so you will most likely receive a yes. For this, you have to use Eye contact and voice modulation.
Eye Contact
When in conversation, you need to establish eye contact. Eye contact is just simply looking up at the person you are talking to's eyes. It should not be a bored stare or an angry glare, but a calm comforting look, this makes the person you are talking to feel good and adjust to your question.
Voice Modulation
While talking to someone it is necessary to use a technique called voice modulation. Voice modulation is simply changing your pitch, volume, and tone of speaking, to suit the emotion of the conversation. This also helps you soothe the person's anger, sadness, or any other emotion, after using this you can build up to what you want to ask. If you are talking about a sad matter you need to adjust your voice to a more slow and sorry tone, and when talking about a memorable or exciting experience, you have to use an exciting and quick tone.
Hand Gestures
You can decide to use hand gestures. Using hand gestures solidifies your point. It also helps you create a picture in your audience’s mind. This is very useful when communicating, this allows your audience to picture what you are saying.
Now you have learned this, Go and Change the world.
-The Wisdom Outlet, Helping people achieve their God Given Purpose
Hey Wisdom Outlet, this is a really good post! It really highlights some aspects of communication I still struggle with like eye contact and hand gestures. I do sales calls, so sometimes I forget how crucial eye contact is, even though I've gotten a bit better at it. Also, I have realized people are more likely to listen to people who use hand gestures. Keep up the good work :)
